Die Art und Weise wie dem Missbrauch des Internets als Verbreitungsmedium für Kinderpornographie Einhalt geboten werden kann, wird auf nationaler wie auch europäischer Ebene stark diskutiert. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, ob auch unmittelbare Eingriffe in die Internetstruktur zwecks Unterbindung des Zugriffs auf kinderpornographische Webinhalte gerechtfertigt sind. Damit sind in erster Linie die Internetsperren von Access-Providern angesprochen und die Problematik, ob diese tatsächlich eine effektive Massnahme in der Bekämpfung von Kinderpornographie verheissen. Die Autorin untersucht dieses Thema primär anhand einer verfassungsrechtlichen Würdigung eines legislatorischen Sperransatzes zur Verhinderung des Zugriffs auf diese kinderpornographischen Webinhalte, bezieht aber auch die europäische Entwicklung mit ein. Neben der Herleitung allgemeiner verfassungsrechtlicher Anforderungen wird auch ein Überblick über das Zugangserschwerungsgesetz gegeben, das in den Jahren 2009/2010 als erster ernstzunehmender gesetzlicher Ansatz zur Inhaltsregulierung galt, letztlich jedoch praktisch nicht angewandt wurde.
